The news of Team Love’s Live Shudder to Think album spread quickly last week with Brooklyn Vegan, The Sentimentalist and Groovevolt all chiming in…..Parasites and Sycophants have some news on the new Simon Joyner album out Sept 15. Grand Jury prize winner at the 2009 Slamdance Festival Hayley Morris has directed a new video for Joker’s Daughter. Check out her prize winning short here. Edea has created a new Tilly and the Wall fan group and is looking for members; sign up here. In related news, video director Alan Tanner who made the wonderful Pot Kettle Black video for Tilly is interviewed over at Full Circle Stuff. Aversion reviewed Popup’s new record “A Time & A Place”, giving it 4/5 stars. Joker’s Daughter has a cool new website. The band’s debut, The Last Laugh has received some attention from both Spin and Rolling Stone. It’s working its way up the chart at KCRW, (#38) and memo57 included it in his/her creeepy podcast. Meanwhile Relix magazine spill the beans on the Felice Brothers’ Webster Hall concert. The boys are heading South starting tonight, May 22, hitting Lexington, Richmond, Winston-Salem, Johnson City and Newport KY all in the next week. Over to the NW A Weather are in the studio working on their follow-up to Cove, the LP No Hidden Tracks ranked the #1 Album of 2008. Anika sat down w/ the band earlier this year. And if you haven’t yet, check out Sarah’s magical EP in the Team Love Library. Oh, and look what (Pete Fowler) is doing these days. Sweet.

Brooklyn Vegan made it down to Le Poison Rouge for The Berg Sans Nipple show and Lori Baily took some great photos of the band who are now on their way to France for a a month of shows….Drowned in Sound posted review of The Felice Brothers’ new album while American Songwriter has posted some pictures from the band’s recent show in Nashville which has us wondering, what fancy setting on a digital camera turns people pink….Lizzie Warburton at Skiddle uses the words “freaky deaky” to describe The Last Laugh by Joker’s Daughter, you can read her complete take on the album here…check out Anika In London’s latest thoughts on the The Team Love Library as well as her note-to-self that Wild Like Children is like going home
